I apologize in advance as this isn't really an answer to your question, more of something to consider in your repair. I haven't done a trunk in a Chevelle, but I have done other vehicles and just did one in my full size blazer last year. It isn't a show winner, but you can barely tell that it was done now with no carpet and just some DIY bedliner on it. Usually it ends up being more then just a floor repair because water has leaked in to rot away the floor. Generally the rear back window is the cause and that should be repaired and resealed using modern methods. The panel below the rear window also sometimes has a lot of rust as well. I'm not sure if anyone makes this panel to be welded in, but anyone knows where to get one shoot me a line as I would much rather just replace mine then deal with the repair of it. In terms of the repair itself... it varies with the extent of the rust. Do you need a whole floor or will a 1/3 or 1/2 panel fix it? Patch panels are very easy, but generally take a bit more finesse to make look good. Same with a whole floor. If you are going for a show winning look I would recommend leaving it to a professional unless you are a very good welder. mikey
