I don’t think you will do any damage by not breaking in the posi, it will just make a god awful racket longer than if you did. Mine settled down after about 3 months of daily use, so a weekend car may stay stiff for a bit longer. Also, don’t be tempted to put in synthetic fluid to make it quieter, I put it in mine and while it did cut down on the noise, it also caused the posi to slip and totally negated the locking action. Apparently the synthetic stuff is just too slippery.

i did use the ford posi additive was told it was good stuff , well i did read some where in the installation manual to do just that of the figure 8 but i dont think i did i dont really drive the car that much lots of rain lately here in mass, you think its to late for the figure 8 issue and will i damage the posi unit if leave it the way it is any reccomendations? thanks again shawn and others
