Good idea.  Sounds like a mixed bag of experiences from different people as
to howl or not to howl.

What I do to test the secondaries of the Holley is take a small paper clip
and bend it so it clips lightly on the rod that connects the vacuum
diaphragm
to the secondary butterfly shaft. Clip it on the rod in a way so after a
test
drive if the secondary opened you will see the clip has moved down the rod.
The clip can't be tight on the rod as it has to slide.
