Ok guys & gals.
My father-in-law came to the house and looked at my Alternator.  At first he said that the alternator was only showing 10 volts instead of 12. He also showed that the Alternator was not charging.  We removed the voltage regulator and cleaned all the connection on the regulator and plug.  We then reconnected the plug.  When we turned the ignition to on,  it was showing 12 volts on the Alternator and 12 volts on the voltage regulator.  After re-attaching the pigtail to the alternator we lost the 12 volts.  I found that when the pig tail was disconnected it would show the proper 12 volts.  As soon as I would connect the pigtail to the alternator we kept loosing it.  The alternator is new. Anyone have any ideas????

Thanks
