Hi,
I don't own a Chevelle, or any other classic car. But I would love to own a 66 SS
Chevelle one day. I want to restore it and have a beautiful muscle car, hopefully in
a few years I will be able to afford the new hobby.
I'd like to learn as much as I can about Chevelles, and classic cars in general.
One of my first questions is: what is the difference between a-bodies, f-bodies and
so on? I've tried doing a little research and I can't quite get a consistent answer.
I've heard that each manufacturer has its own platform for different cars, for
example: both ford and gm consider the mustang, camaro, and firebird f-body cars.
They have different bodies but share the same chassis, drivetrain, suspension, etc.
I was wondering if this was true.
