Mine does...320 ponies beats the 170 hp stocker any day (and it's the original motor)....on the looks issue, that's purely a matter of taste. I can think of several cars that looked great after '72. Fact is that the smog crap started before then (68 in some cars) and the only real bellwether besides the body styles is the fact that the HP ratings were net instead of gross after '71. Performance didn't really die in 72...more like '70....that was the last year of the real performance motors.
