For the same reason people sell SS jacks, SS radios, SS
fenders etc I suppose. "The guy I bought it from told me it was" or "my
buddy says it is" is always a good copout. I liked the guy selling NOS
inner fender wells for a 70 LS6. Never mind the fact they'd been on the
car since new, had low mileage, and the car was rearended. Hmmm....NOS
huh? Were LS6 inner fender wells special I wonder?

It seems kinda funny to me, that if it isn't a real Z-16, that he would claim it to be. Anyone who would even know what a Z-16 is, would not want that one even if it were the real deal, and anyone who doesn't know what a Z-16 is, wouldn't care if it is or not. So why bother??? Take it easy...
