Thanks Dale. I wonder why they called them Strato-Buckets. The name seems to fit the bucket/bench combo seat better. A stratus cloud is described as one "of greater horizontal extension and comparatively lower height".
-----Original Message----- Quite possible that the same name for a seat was used for Olds as was as you described, but Strato-buckets were true buckets (2 individual seats) I believe for Chevelles - code A51. They are the only bucket seats listed and the only seat aside from the full-width bench. There was no seat with a fold down arm rest although head rests were optional (A81). Additionally, a console could only be ordered with the strato-bucket seats. Same was true for 1969, console only available with the Strato-bucket seats - no mention of folding arm rests. Some GM literature also referred to these as Astro buckets instead of Strato bucket seats.
