Should also mention that Powerglides stock are not that strong, they are good up to 250 HP I have heard from my tranny guy and then they need to be "built" to be bullet proof. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
I wonder what my 69 will go up to in first gear then, 3.08 = 80 mph, 2.73 =??? :-). I'll have to try that out when I get my 69 back on the road.
I used to wind the old Metric 200 in my 86 Cutlass up to 60 mph in 1st gear with a 2.14 rear. I wonder if that is what made it explode, lol
