Fisher Body had a plant in Fairfield/Hamilton Ohio for years. They made
actual body panels & parts. They went out of business in the early 80's.
When they closed it caused a lot of turmoil in the area as they were the
biggest employer in Fairfield. It was the only time in the history of
Fairfield that the police dept laid off men.
The building is still there & is used by about a half dozen different
companies, mostly for storage & transfer of steel products, etc.
