Don't forget that the Mustang was originally a quick and inexpensive way for
Ford to get some kind of sports car on the market. The 64-65 Mustangs were
built on the Falcon platform, and except for the emblems, the two cars have
the identical dash. As years went by, the Mustangs got bigger and heavier
and slower (for the most part). Then in 1974, they came out with the
"Mustang II", and it was really over for a while. I guess the 5.0 has a fan
base, but I never got into any cars that new anyway, especially anything
that new by Ford.

That is correct, that mustang was heavily modified to even keep up with that
Charger and it still never passed it :-)  Guess so when the F*&d only had a
289 in it, lol
