Pop's big block 396 has been fouling the #5 plug for a while. He bought an extender and still no success.Tore into the motor and found #5 exhaust spring was broke, thankfully it did not drop.He built the motor with good valve springs for the intake but took a short cut on the exhaust (used ones ).Would a broke exhaust valve spring cause a lot of fouling and cause the motor to run bad at idle?  There is no signs of water in the oil .Any help or other places to check.thankx
