Hi Bob,

I switched my Elky from a column shift three speed to a Muncie 4 speed (a few years ago).  When I installed the hump I tack welded it from the top (interior) side.  As for placement of the hump, that depends on where your shifter is located.  The Muncie I used had a Hurst Comp Plus shifter from a 69 Camaro.  Once I was all done, the hump was too far back and the bench seat frame was resting on it, so naturally I had to make the switch to bucket seats!

Subject: [Chevelle-List] Trans hump

Has anyone on the list converted their car from column shift auto to 4 spd?  I bought the sheetmetal hump from OPG and seem to have located it where it should go but does it mount from the interior side of the floor or from the bottom???  Thanks for any help.
