Regarding an aluminum '79 Corvette intake, right? IMO it'll be as good as or better than any other intake of that vintage, but if it were me I'd be looking at a new aftermarket intake as long as cost isn't an issue. But if you can get this intake cheap it certainly won't hurt to use it. What's the potential application?
