Dan, Vortech heads will fit on all SBC blocks. Your exhaust manifold/headers will bolt right up, but you will need a Vortech specific intake manifold, since the bolt pattern is different. Head gaskets are the same. Self aligning rockers are the same as regular rockers, but have shoulders on the end that contacts the valves so that they stay centered on the valves. All late model SBC with hydraulic roller cams/lifters use them instead of guide plates. They are available in roller or stock configurations from GM, Comp Cams and others. One of the drawbacks to the Vortech heads is that without machine work, you cannot run more than 0.5" lift on your cam. Also, you cannot run high performance valve springs unless you have the spring pocket enlarged. You can buy the heads with these mods already done from Scrogins Dickey Chevrolet and others.
