Great News Larry, B-4 you rip all you sound deadner up. remove you back seat
and in the wheel well area drivers side ,is the connector that converts the
ribbon back to the conventional rear tail lamp wire harness.
un-plug it and replug it under the dash , fi you have dash lights the ribbon
ok. do not replug it and ring out the rear harness. Remove the bulbs from
there sockets , don't forget backup.and licence plate lamps. With a VOM or
continunity tester. all pins shoud be open or shoe no continunity to Ground
/ body. Thonly wire that should have Res/cont is the tan wire (fuel gauge)
in the harnes.
Look at the Brown wires . as they are you running light circuit, and that
the one that seems to be shorted ?
