To get good with a flaring tool takes a little practice, my suggestion to you is go to the auto parts store and buy a piece of tubing to practice with, follow the directions that comes with the flairing tool and practice until you get a satisfactory flair. it's one of those things that only comes with practice, on your tool. I have made good flairs and went to use someone else's tool, and would need to make several befor they came out good. by the way I am talking about double flairs!
