My experiences with the bezel on my 64 didn't go to well at first. I tried to repaint it with chrome paint and it just didn't look right. I ended up painting it satin black and painted the raised parts around the gauges and radio with some left over chrome paint. I know this isn't the way they came out but to me there was just to much chome on the dash to begin with. I have seen some others like this and if you want I can send you a picture of mine off list. [EMAIL PROTECTED]  I have a 64 bezel you can have if you pay for shipping but it has the radio hole cut out for an after market one. Let me know. Vernon

Subject: [Chevelle-List] 64 Bezel restoration

I want to repaint my 64 Chevelle dash bezel since I will have it out to put in a new clock and gauge.  Does anyone know what paint to use to freshen the bezel up?  Can anyone share their experiences with this?

Also, there was an alarm warning light hole drilled into the bezel.  Can this be filled and painted or will I be better off finding a replacement bezel?  The hole is about half the size of a dime and it is just right of the radio opening.

Thanks,

Gary
