My experiences with the bezel on my 64 didn't go to well at first. I tried to repaint it with chrome paint and it just didn't look right. I ended up painting it satin black and painted the raised parts around the gauges and radio with some left over chrome paint. I know this isn't the way they came out but to me there was just to much chome on the dash to begin with. I have seen some others like this and if you want I can send you a picture of mine off list.
