Yesterday we tried putting the 454 into the 1969
chevelle. We found out we have an oil pan problem. It needs the bottom piece
moved back about 2", but if we do that it looks like we have to change the
pick for the oil also. We did some checking and found out the 4x4 motor oil pans
work but normal truck pans do not.
We have a swap over book to locate the right parts.
Just one of the small joys in the restoration of classic automobiles. Off to the
scrap yard Monday. Its even more fun in the SNOW and COLD.
Or if anyone can have a pan here for next Weekend
that would be awesome. Just venting well back to the garage.
