Clint, the particular unit I'm looking at is made by CCE Hydraulics in Kentucky. It lets you control all 4 bags independently. I guess at 28, I'm thinking I should do it now and get it out of my system before I'm too old to enjoy it. It's either air or hydraulics, but the hydro's tear a car up bad. The only thing I will destroy by installing the air suspension is the lower control arms (front and back). These can be replaced if I ever want to return to stock suspension.
I suppose if you like it, then it's at least cool to you, right?

Subject: Re: [Chevelle-List] air ride suspension, non-chevelle related

Any particular system you were contemplating,Dan? I've heard good things about the Shockwave units.
Just my opinion only but the reason I decided not to run an air ride system is because of the suspension geometry changes that happen every time the ride height is changed. This is kinda hard on those expensive Max Perf tires I want to run. Besides,my car will have coilovers at all four corners and the ride height will be set where I want it and then have a good alignment done. Guess I'm getting too old but seeing air ride vehicles literally sitting on the ground doesn't do much for me. Is that supposed to be cool?
Sorry for getting carried away,Dan.

Fellas,
I'm contemplating installing an air-suspension kit on my Impala. Has anyone on the list ever used an air bag setup before? If so, could you let me know your likes and dislikes of the setup. I appreciate it.
