As usual Johns right. The only peice of wax/board is the seat back that screwed to a channel to the back of therear seat. The WELL LINER gets screwedto the metal that extends up from the floor and where the rear back seat attaches too. The side ans back of the liner are attacher to the rear bulk head and the inner out 1/4 panel area. They go behind the soft top fastner strip. Unless your familiar with the application, IMO this is a job for a interior shop.

Hi Gary,

The fabric piece you are talking about is called a well liner. It is supposed to be there, and it is not supposed to have any cardboard backing, but you are also not supposed to be able to see into the trunk. I'm honestly not sure how it is attached, but I would guess that this is one of those things covered by the Fisher Body Manual.

Subject: [Chevelle-List] 64 Convertible question

My 64 Convertible has fabric that has fallen down between the trunk and the cabin of the car.  Right now, the fabric is hanging down into the trunk area and you can see right into the trunk when looking over the back seat.

Since this car is new to me, I don't know how it attaches to the car the correct way.  Should there be some type of board under the fabric to make it sturdier or will this cause problems when the top is put down.  I want to seal this opening back up to avoid any exhaust fumes that may seep into the trunk area and find its way into the cabin of the car.  Can anyone tell me how this should be fixed?

Thanks,

Gary
