Krister, To expand on what Jason said, because the wiper arm is "spring loaded" you need to keep even pressure on the splined "hub" as you pry it up. By that I mean as you pry up with a flat tip screwdriver on the opposite side of the wiper arm you should also be pulling up on the wiper arm with your other hand. By doing this you will apply even pressure (more or less) and the hub should slide up off the splines. Once you get it moving you'll see what I'm talking about.
