The console option (RPO D55) states: "Available only when bucket seats
are ordered. Includes courtesy light and compartment. Control lever is
mounted on console. Not available with the std. 3-speed transmission."
So, no...the addition of the console (which required buckets) also got
the control lever for the transmission.
