Harkem, My understanding is the valve covers and the air cleaner usage is based on the horsepower level of the installed engine. The 325hp rating received the black snorkel air cleaner w/painted valve covers. The chrome valve covers and open element air cleaner were installed on the 350 & 375hp engines.
Kent '68 Malibu ZZ502/502 :) ACES #5102 should the 68 chevelle ss396 have chrome or painted valve covers?? should the air cleaner be a open element chrome round or the black with a snorkel thanks!!!!!
