Herb,
I was your "light them up shoes" last summer. Leaving church one Sunday,
parking lot was basically empty, saw some friends, lit up a thirty foot
plus posi strip. Then came the "I can't believe you just did that - get me
out of here" from my wife - my twins in their cars seats in the back
thought the tire smoke was cool. Next came the guy pulling up next to me
informing me how immature and dangerous that was. Followed by a second guy
pulling up in a Mercedes who I ignored thinking I'd get the same lecture.
Not so - his comments were that he just did the same thing last week with
the same reaction from his wife - he ended by saying "you got to love a guy
who will light them up in a Church parking lot" and happened to be the
brother - in law of the first guy. I proceeded through the lot a slow
speed with every high-school and college kid giving thumbs up and "way to
go's". I'm 38, but I felt like 16 again.

�The coolest part of the show was leaving.� At the door there were�about
75 or more people standing inside and outside the door like a gauntlet and
they were all yelling "light 'em up" and at the same time my wife was
saying "don't do anything" so naturally as I get into the street just
before the car is straight, in goes the clutch, up go the revs, and the
next thing you know the Elky's tires are spinning and we're doing a 6000
rpm sideways slide all the way down the street to the stoplight!� What a
way to end the show.� :)
