Title: Flowmasters without headers on a small block
Of course this is comparing apples to oranges (Camaro vs. Chevelle) but...

My friend has a 67 camaro with a 350 that he's running manifolds on with 40 series flowmasters.  You can't tell it doesn't have headers.  Loud and as mean sounding as my 350 with headers.  I don't think it's gonna change the sound that much just because of headers (or lack thereof).

Subject: [Chevelle-List] Flowmasters without headers on a small block

Anyone run Flowmasters on a small block without headers?  I'm preparing to remove the (brand unknown) headers from the 67 327/275 Elky and return to factory manifolds and would like a bit of sound.  I'm getting tired of removing the alternator and dropping the header just to change two of the plugs.  My SS big block has headers and Flowmasters (50 series I believe) but I don't expect or want the Elky to sound like the SS (well.) but would like a nice noticable mellow sound.  Any suggestions on a series?
