Here's some...the Custom got the following regular equipment where the Standard did not. There are also options that the Standard did not have access to that the Custom did. Disclaimer: Information from the GM Restoration Kit.
1. Medium blue interior (code 761-bench) whereas the custom (136) got dark blue (codes 764-bench/765-bucket), no bucket seat option (A51) and no sport shift lever option (M08). 2. Body side lower molding - front fender, doors & rear quarter. (The Standard got a rocker panel molding instead.) 3. "Cortez" silver below body side lower molding. 4. Body side twin paint stripes. 5. Bright roof drip gutter molding. 6. Bright door frame scalp molding. 7. Black paint filled rear end panel or tailgate molding. 8. Tailgate wood-grain insert between tailgate moldings. 9. Radiator grille bright center molding. 10. Concealed windshield wipers with articulated left blade. 11. Bright windshield molding with wide lower molding. (Standard got a narrow lower molding.) 12. Silver-painted rear view mirror support. 13. Front seat cushion, 1.75" foam pad. (Standard got a 1.25" foam pad.) 14. Carpet passenger compartment. (Standard got vinyl coated rubber covering.) 15. Glove compartment light. (Could be ordered in a standard with the ZJ9 auxiliary lighting group.) 16. Instrument panel right side molding and nameplate. 17. Deluxe front seat (A39) and shoulder (A85) belts not available with standard. 18. Standard front seat shoulder harness (AS1) not available on standard. 19. Gauges, instrument panel (U14) not available on standard but the tachometer (ACC) was. 20. Power windows (A31) not available on standard. Front bumper guards (V31) were optional on all Chevelle models and not part of the Custom upgrade. Naturally, neither could get the rear guards <G>.
