Hi guys, I slide into this conversation on a banana peel, but if you dont want to replace the rearend yoke at this time you can use a crossover at the rear.
to replace it you will have to loosen the nut, open the rear, take out the carrier and replace the seal (even if its not leaking replace it because of Murphy), replace the yoke and tighten the nut (with locktite) until you have the right preload on the bearings. If the rear isnt newly rebuilt or you would like to change gears or something else this is the time to do it. PS you'll need a huge tool to keep the pinion from rotating while tightening the nut Andr� Craig, You're correct about the front yoke, I forgot about that. As for the pinion yoke, I don't think it's difficult, but I've never done it. When I ordered my Currie rear, I ordered it with a billet 1350 yoke installed. I'm sure someone on the list can answer your question, otherwise I'd check into a shop that does rearend work.
