Welcome Denny,

Could it maybe be that when you turn the left on, the left rear bulb grounds through
the right bulb and make it flash.

Just something that dropped into my crazy brain at 9am after just one cup of coffee.

HI;

I'm Denny, 60, semi-retired and have been restoring my 71 Malibu the last
couple years. Almost have it completed. Picked up a lot of good tips on this
list. Will have more info and pic's later, but right now wiring gremlins
have got me stumped.

Recently replaced a cracked sweep dash with a refurbished idiot light Monte
dash, then converted to full gauges with the Muscle Factory tach/guage kit.
Also installed a rebuilt tilt column. Now have a problem with turn signals.

When 'right' is selected, both front and right rear flash.
When 'left' is selected, left front and both rear flash
Traffic hazard switch - all flash normal.

I have the wiring diagrams and as a telecomm engineer, troubleshooting is
second nature. Have not been able to locate this problem. Suspect a faulty
directional signal switch, even though it is new. Have not pulled it apart,
going to call Steering Columns Galore on Monday for technical support. Have
replaced the flashers.

Any ideas?.. Tks, Denny
