friend of mine used an inline universal electric fuel pump to supplement
his mechanical pump on his truck that he was having vapor lock problems with.
Carter and Holley and a few others have some low pressure ones. I think AC even
has one and if I remember the part # it was EP12s and I cant remember the brand,
but also an EP8008 was a number. (I used to be a partsman and some of those #'s
stick with you even if brands dont). Any good counterman should be able to go
and just pull one off the shel

Plumb the electric pump off its own loop and turn
it on and off with a manual switch.

Why not install an electric pump as an
auxiliary source of fuel? Prime the carb with the electronic pump before
starting and use the engine-driven pump as your main supplier. After
starting,switch off the electric pump.
Putting one in the tank will probably require
a custom tank;not cheap. I would recommend it if you were running EFI but
not a carb.

Thinking about using an electric fuel pump due to how long the
Chevelle will sit in between starts. Will have a carb on it. I don't
like electrics in geberal because I had one that used to vapor lock even
though it wasn't far from the tank. Soooo thinking about putting one IN
the tank.
Anyone else done that? Which one did you use? Any problems
with getting a guage to work in a stock tank too?
