1963 was the first year for Chevy AM/FM.Corvettes had the wonderbar radio at the beginning of the year and then they brought out a AM/FM  later in the year.1963 saw a lot of people order AM/FM's in the big Chevs.

I owned a 64 Corvette coupe back in 1970 and it was equipped with an AM/FM radio.

The 65 Malibu also had AM/FM stereo available on the V8 SS. AM/FM radio was RPO U69 (all models) and "Radio stereo equipment" was RPO U79 (13837 only).
