We are restoring a 65 Chevelle for the first time and the back end was rough. We have a few questions about the trunk area that we hope someone can help us with.
1. How and where is the trunk latch attached to the inside of the trunk? 2. Where and how is the spare tire tied down? 3. Does anyone have detailed directions for installing the gas tank, Braces and all? Can anyone recommend a place that will sell and install a gas tank with sending unit and how much is the going rate for this? Does not have to be original equipment. Braces and all. 4. Behind the rear tires there is a brace that we think is the body to frame brace. The part is attached to the frame, but nothing is attached to the body. We believe there is a round rubber donut that attaches between the two braces. Can someone tell us the names of these parts and where to purchase them, and how to install them? Any pictures of the trunk or underside of the trunk would be very helpful.
