I recently replaced the hood on my 67 Chevelle Malibu. I went with the SS hood (note: this is not a clone but kept malibu with 383 stroker). Anyway, I was recently told by the painter that I probably need new hood hinges since the hood is not closing crisply.
I plan to order hood hinges and springs.
Question one: What was the original color on these hood hinges and springs for a 67 Chevelle ?
Question two: Any problem with going with reproduction hinges since they are apparently as good as GM original and almost $30.00 less per hinge. This is not a show car so not worried about being "correct" on every darn part.
