Don,
If you want to use a sandblaster for anything more than 2-5 minutes at a time, you will need a two stage compressor. I totally wore out my Sanborn single stage 5hp 60gal over the course of a year blasting large items. It was however great for everything else including a DA sander. I bought a Quincy 2 stage 80 gal. A bit pricey but I love it. Moisture was a big problem with the single stage when it ran for long periods and heated up (even with a nice moisture trap system). That has practically been eliminated with the Quincy and the same moisture trap.

Hi guys, I am thinking about getting an air compressor and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I need to look for and about how much it would cost. I want one powerful enough to run air wrenches, maybe a portable sandblaster and to pump up tires (bicycles & cars). Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Don
