After a week of intermittent rebuild work my set of factory iron SBC heads (#462624) is ready for reinstallation. I'm going to use 2 Fel-Pro PermaTorque "Blue Stripe" #7733PT-2 gaskets.
These are composition gaskets. How clean and dry do the block and head surfaces need to be? The instructions specifically state, "use no sealer".
