The remover plate should attach to the damper/balancer with 3 bolts. Then the big threaded rod goes through the center of the plate until it butts up against the crank snout = don't forget to put the cone/"hat" on the end of the rod so you don't FUBAR the crank! As you turn the rod in a clockwise direction the damper should slowly come off the end of the crank.
