I don't know, I have never rewired a dash, therefore I cannot tell how diffucult it is.  But There are a lot of people here who have done it.  I've heard both sides, its very hard, or its very easy.  Depends on how good u are with wires.

Maybe I should re-wire the whole dash!?
It's such a mess, cut wires, disconnected contacts which have not match,
& some of the meters aren't working!
But I hesitate, afraid I'll only make it worse.
My plan is to buy prefabricated harnesses so it can't be that difficult?

There should also be a black wire.  Ok, look, the black wire goes to a ground on a metal surface, I used the firewall.  The white wire goes to the ilumination light on the dash, which brightens the tach at night.  I think the green wire goes to the negative terminal on the coil, and the red goes to the fuse box.

My car was equipped with this tacometer but...
How do i connect it?
Or should I just trash it?
 
There's one white, red & green wire!
