I drove down to Dallas this afternoon and drove my 69 back home. If I do so say so myself, this thing looks kick-ass. Got caught in some slow traffic and must have had 50 people give me the thumbs up or roll their window down to ask questions. Not sure now if the car really has 4.11 rear cogs as I drove most of the way home in 5th gear. 70mph in 6th almost seemed like the engine was running at a high idle.<g> Had to stop a couple of times to make sure the knockoffs were tight but they were fine. Still plan to figure out a way to safety wire them for more piece of mind, though. All in all,I'm pretty happy with the progress of the car,so far. Next up is replacing the entire front suspension with Global West tubular A-arms, QA1 coilovers, and Baer disc brakes.
