We have two suppliers who manufacture their own 1969 side moldings and neither of them come with the black stripe down the center. One supplier said that only El Caminos got the stripe. I'm wondering if it's one of the differences between the Malibu and El Camino Custom as opposed to the Chevelle and standard El Camino. Does anybody know? I don't have the old ones from my 69 El Camino Custom here, but I seem to remember them having the stripe.
