Subject: A/C bracket
Does anyone have the bracket that bolts to the intake manifold, that the
top rear adjuster strap on the compressor bolts to? This needs to be off
of a big block without the AIR pump & with the 6 cyl Frigidaire compressor
on a 1968 or earlier application (compressor on the pass side). It
doesn't have to be a Chevelle--it can be any car or truck with a big
block. I want to take the AIR pump & associated mess off of my motor, but
the pump bracket doubles as the A/C bracket. The only thing I've found is
the complete bracket kit for $195 which is more than I need & more than I
want to spend.
