[Chevelle-list] 64 door panel springs?

Hi,
New guy here. Been reading for a week or so and looking through archives.
Thought I'd start out with a dumb one:
I have a 64 Malibu SS that's had some work done.
The previous owner had replaced the door panels.
I seem to remember there were springs behind the door panels at the door handle and window cranks.
I think these were to keep the handles from rattling.
Anyone else have these on their cars?
(I took the door handle off another car and didn't see anything but something seemed to be pushing on panel. Was trying not to have to take that one apart.)
