Yes,their new Serious Street 11" disc brake kit is a very nice set-up. I think it's going to be a great seller.

NO and probably won't work with many 16" either.  They do have kits now that will fit in 15" wheels however.  Check them out at http://www.baer.com

Subject: [Chevelle-list] Thanks Dale: Best Front Disc Brake Kit on Market for 67 Chevelle

Dale Thanks. Will those Baer 13" Track Discs work with 15 inch wheels or not ?

I put the Baer 13" Track discs on the front of my 67 and did not have to change spindles.  I was going to use 17" wheels anyway and the 13's seem like the way to go.  Kit came with everything except the adjustable proportioning valve which I bought separate.

I talked to the Baer rep at CB this year about putting rear discs on and he said that with 13's on the front, unless I wanted matching rears for esthetic reasons, they really wouldn't justify the cost for the minimal additional stopping power.  Maybe with lesser 11" or 12" systems it might be worth it.  Just his opinion...

Subject: [Chevelle-list] Changing Topic: Best Front Disc Brake Kit on Market for 67 Chevelle

I have a more non-politically violatile question:

- What is the best front disc brake kit out on the market ? Baer ?

Also, I have seen kits that use the original drum brake set up on 67 Chevelles. I have also seen kits that employ drop spindles.

My current set up is four non-power drum brakes which does not cut it.

Suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,

Ken McDee

P.S. Would you also use rear disc brakes or is that not necessary with the front disc brake set up ?
