On a stock suspension Chevelle or El Camino,coilovers will probably be overkill. My car has a four link rear suspension and coilovers at all four corners. The coilovers will allow me to set the ride height right where I want it,at each corner,and the shock's adjustability will allow setting the compression & rebound damping to get the best combination of ride/handling. Getting the right spring rates can sometimes be a real trial & error chore but the front coilovers kits like Global West sells already has this figured out,for the most part.
