Tom,
The 1969 "300" grill center bar sticks out about an inch because it
is made to be used without the bolt on center bar trim piece. You can bolt
an SS 396 or bowtie emblem to it. The Malibu grill center bar sticks out
about a 1/2 inch because it is made to be used with the bolt on center bar
trim piece. You can bolt the SS 396 or bowtie emblem to it as the center bar
thickness is about the same between the "300" grill with no bolt on trim
piece and the Malibu grill with the bolt on trim piece.
