Thank you for your inquiry. Our kit is designed just for Chevelle, and
we install them here. Forte's makes claims about their product, but you
can see the real thing on our site. The red car with white interior is
the actual '66 Chevelle SS with exact position.
We designed and patented this componentry, as we are an engineering &
manufacturing company. It will work with your factory console.
Floor cutting IS required to retain the factory driveline angle. We
designed a template and replacement floor sheetmetal to make it look
100%.
You won't be disappointed in our product. It also comes with warranty of
3 months.

Thank you,

Subject: 5 speed Tremec for 66 chevelle?

I see on your web site you have a kit for 66 chevelle.
I have been looking at Fortes for a trans.
They say they will soon be out with a new design to allow use of my
original 4 speed console.
How does your kit differ ffrom theres?
Does this keep the  stock location of my munci 4 speed?
Can I use my original 4 speed console?
Do I have to cut the trans hump?
Can you supply pictures?
thank you,
Dan
