Well, I got the heads back from the machine shop. Got out there yesterday to put everything back together. I got the passenger side on and torqued down. Went to do the driver's side and my brother-in-law was out there helping me. He was torquing one of the bolts and thought "hmm, this seems like a lot of pressure and it's not clicking. I better test on another bolt." So he starts torquing the next bolt in sequence and the wrench clicked as it should, so he tried the previous bolt again and for whatever reason the bolt broke. I think we got lucky though because the bolt didn't break and we were able to back it all the way out. Of course this happened at 5 p.m. yesterday right when the Chevy dealership closes, so I'll have to wait until Monday now to do any more. Grrrr!
On a side note, the gas stations around here are running out of gas. I only found 1 gas station open last night on my 15 mile drive home and they wanted $2.39 for super. Couldn't believe it... The suburban I'm borrowing now takes unleaded, but it's a gas hog, so I don't think I'm saving much $$ in that respect.
