  I bought a set of R43XLS plugs yesterday so yes they still make them.
My 69 is the flat plug seat. My big concern was the length. The only
difference that I can see between the old AC plugs and the new XLS is
the new ones are threaded all the way up and the old style is only
threaded half way. They will seat at the same depth because the flat
seat stops them from going any deeper.

  My 69 heads have a flat seat. I also have a set of 70 heads and they
are taper.
