I have a cast iron Holly intake with a freeze plug in the oil filler hole that can be replaced with the filler tube if you are interested.  My 283 has an intake from a 327 300hp made in the mid 60's so I can run a Carter AFB or Edelbrock carb.  The stock 4-barrel 283 intake was for a small 4-barrel Rochester 4GC in it's later years, 1965.

Hi,
Were there any early style (64-67) 283 manifolds on which a square bore Holley 4 barrel would bolt onto directly?  By early I'm thinking of ones where the oil fill pipe is at the front of the manifold.
Thanks.
