Don't mention headers... argh! I was hoping that one of the two sets of Hooker super Comps (one small tube, one big tube)late 70's-80's G body headers would clear since they were off an old project and would be cheap... no go though :( So now I have approx 800-900 dollars (retail) sitting on my floor ...doh! Thanks for the props. The car takes better pics then it is up close in daylight but that is what I want. Why track whore out a finly restored SS only to get flex cracks and rubber stuck all over under it?

Yup... I believe it... big wheel tubes these days are really not needed till you start hitting 150+ mph or 8 sec ET's. The tire technology is awsome! Also if you throw a 4 link or ladder bar setup under there... she will hook with some skill. Man I love 9 and 10 second cars that get some street miles.

my son and I were at the Baytown (close to Houston, Texas) strip sat night
and there was a 66 chevelle that drove out there on 10" street slicks and
pulled a 20 or 30 foot wheelie and turned several 9 second passes and drove
home. he also believes that if you can not drive it then why have it.
fun!!!!
by the way Capt, did you notice someone stole your headers? nice car!
