I believe it was either 'super Chevy's or 'Chevy High performance' that had a buyers guide for crate motors a month or two back.  There were some nice motors for less than that I believe.  I'll try and find the article for you when I get home.

Does anyone have a Big Block for sale out there? I've been poking around on a couple web sites offering a crate motor for around $5000.00 (454 / 425 HP) but that's a bit more than I want to spend. Any ideas?
